Belay signed for our dossier at 9:45 this AM in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia!! Yay, it is there!!! We were already on the wait list so this won't affect referral times or anything but it is pretty cool to think that the many documents that I worked so hard on are to their final destination. No more Fed Ex stalking for me! LOL
I have to admit that the week went quickly. We are ridiculously anxious and hopelessly optimistic but we have a few projects lined up to occupy our time!! Let me just say that we have an awesome God and I would love to shout it from the rooftops!!! Somehow He always pulls us through!

Why do I feel the need to call Belay up and say, "Okay, now I know you've done this a million times, but this one is special!" ??? Crazy isn't it! I'd bet he never hears that one;)
Congratulations! And on having that first week under your belt, too! You and I are clearly cut from the same cloth, because I recall Drew talking about my organizational skills to the social worker too. Whatever! Well, we're about to hit 8 weeks of waiting for a baby girl. Part of me wants the immediate referral and the other part would prefer that it comes at the end of the court closure, so we don't have the anxiety of waiting then for a court date, etc... I will say the first several weeks FLEW by, but now every time the phone rings, I jump. So you're in good company! May your waiting go quickly!
Lindsey,
Congratulations! Just another thing you can cross off the list! I hope the next few weeks go by fast and I'm excited to be joining you in the "waiting club". Have a great week!
Renee
I was so happy to see your post this morning! What wonderful news!
As you said...we both shall be blogging about our referrals very soon. Looking back, our journey seems at times to be long and protracted; but, those times when we ride the crest of a wave, we can see the beginning and the end--it is not that away.
Good luck on your projects--we have a few of our own lined up, too.
As always...you three are in our prayers.
Hi!
We found out about your blog from Holly Clark at Northeast Christian churhc in Louisville. We recently adopted a one year old boy from Ethiopia and would love to meet you over email or phone. My blog site is www.wehrheimfamily.blogspot.com.
We are so happy for you and know God has a great adventure in store for you.
Sincerely-
heather wehrheim
Congrats! Of course the referral waiting is so hard, but I did like it better than waiting for the mailman/fedex/email and rechecking my list of things to do 15 times a day. I guess it's just knowing that you are truly that much closer to seeing your new little babe! We look forward to seeing the good news on your blog!
thanks so much for the precious comment on our blog- it is other couples like you that really spur me on- isn't a blessing to have each other even though we've never met?! anyway, i am saying a prayer for you today and your precious one that is on it's way!
How great a feeling to know the dossier is safe and sound in Ethiopia. We are celebrating (and waiting) with you!
Congrats on your Dossier being in Ethiopia. Mine just got there a couple of weeks ago. I have officially been waiting about 4 weeks now and it is getting harder each day:-) I am not patient!!
I found your blog in reading others. It is fun to watch everyone's process. We are almost at the same exact point so I'll be watching closely.
