not a yes but not a no

After getting an email today from Gladney around 1:45 stating that they could not make contact with our in country rep due to communication issues I ended up getting a phone call. Natalie called a bit after 2 to say they had made contact with Belay via email and he was able to send limited information. MOWA did not have an opinion ready for our case today however the judge saw our daughter and her uncle and completed her relinquishment. The judge asked that the Gladney reps come back to court tomorrow to decide how to proceed. So, our case is remaining open until tomorrow when the judge will decide whether to set another date or leave it open until MOWA issues the opinion.

We ask that you continue to pray for all of the families who have been affected by this. Pray for my sweet daughter, that God will give her peace and make time pass by quickly.

Praying. I am glad that your daughter's uncle was able to come and that his part of the process was completed.

I think sometimes that this is doubly hard when an older child involved since they are aware of everything. I will keep your sweet girl in my prayers.

Hi- I don't think I've posted here before but I've been following your story since before Ian! We are in process too, our first court date was 12/24 and MOWA was not able to comment on the case so we were reassigned 1/29. I am hoping it goes through this time!! I am so sorry that yours was not without glitches! It must be hard for your daughter, but I am sure that the caregivers are reassuring her. Maybe we will be there at the same time! We are praying we'll get to go in Feb. We've had a referral since Oct. 14th!

Hopefully MOWA will issue an opinion since all of the parents showed up to relinquish rights! At least that was a good step for everyone! I hope you all don't have to wait longer for another court date. Thinking of you and hoping to hear some good news.

Praying you have great news to post today. I am just a nervous wreck with this news about MOWA. Our 4th court date is tomorrow and we have been waiting for our 9 year old daughter for over 9 months now. If we get post-poned again, we will not get to pick her up until April which is exactly a year after we accepted her referral. Sad news, but praying for a miracle for us and for you and others that have waited so long.

So sorry to hear about your delay. Our hearts are with you. We've been there, done that. You will be in our prayers as will your precious daughter. She's coming. She may be delayed but she IS coming home to you. Don't lose the hope in that. Check out Hab.2:3 if you haven't. That verse has meant a lot to us during this difficult season.
