Now I've Had the Time of My Life....

I love DIRTY DANCING!!! Mountain Lake was so great!! It was beautiful this time of year to see all of the leaves changing colors and the weather was pretty good too! We had a great time and I think the absence of technology was the nicest part! The wedding was so much fun. I got to see all of my pharmacy school pals that I have been missing so much! It refreshed me and prepared me to get back to the grind of things in the coming weeks. The past three months have been difficult for us and I am looking forward to the end of October. By that point we should be working on the inside of the house (the part I am looking forward to) and this is my LAST month to work like a crazy person. My hours have been crazy and I need a break so I have vowed to cut back and enjoy some of my time before the baby comes. I think I had forgotten how much fun Cortney is to be around!!! Anyway, here are some pics of our much needed trip!!

What a great weekend! I'm a little envious...I think if I could get away for a little while I would feel better. That is such a beautiful place. It looks like you had such a good time...I am glad that you can come back and start with a fresh perspective. That is exacting about the house too...things are really coming along fast with it! Won't it be fun to decorate a new house for Christmas? We moved into our house...and we don't even own it...and I am so excited about decorating a new place. I can't imagine how much fun you are going to have. Amy

Oh, looks like you had so much fun! I keep trying to convince Eric that we NEED to go on a vacation before Malak comes...but he just says, "how about we go to Ethiopia?!" (which of course will be wonderful and exciting)
Anyway, looks like lots o' fun!

I am glad you had such a great weekend!! I have to tell you, I thought waiting on a referral was tough...oh nooooo, after seeing my daughter's face, this waiting is harder!! I have a constant state of excitement in my belly and my heart rate is raised at all times...but I am sooooo happy!! I can't wait for your turn...I looked like 3 times a day this weekend hoping and hoping!! I know it will be so soon and I am so excited to see that sweet baby when I click on your blog one day!!
On another note, I heard John Black is being killed off of Days...that sort of sucks:-(

How fun to get a vacation...I am sure it helped a little with the waiting! Okay...I need to comment on Jocelyn's post...say it isn't so about John Black! Days of Our Lives is my weakness...I never miss an episode thanks to Tivo (sad I know)

I'm glad you guys had a good time. You needed a little get away. I'm sure you came back refreshed and ready for your referral. :) Soon!!

You should check out this site that Renee showed me. www.polkatotdesigns.com They have alot of cute designs that I'm going to copy. ;-) I made Canaan's bedding. It was pretty easy except for the bumper pad...that was a serious pain. Can't wait to see your finished product. :)

Waiting for a referral is hard, but waiting to travel is so much harder. It's hurry up, then you hit a stone wall and the time drags like a kid waiting for Santa. Everyone asks, especially during court closure "have you heard anything yet?" I thought I'd go crazy with the questions even though I knew they cared enough to ask. It's like being perpetually pregnant with no end in sight!

Ironically, our referral came July 31st. I had put it out of my mind thinking it wasn't going to come until end of September. When Mary T. called, I almost starting hyperventilating. David and I were on our way to a dr's appt 45 minutes away from any computer!!! We had to wait 3 hours to see her pictures!

The waiting is so worth it...hang in there. God has the perfect child picked out for you. The wait was so worth it when I saw Pickle's beautiful face!

I just want you to know that every time I go to your blog (which is about 42 times a day right now) as soon as the page opens my eyes see this: I love DIRTY DANCING!!!
And for whatever reason, maybe because it is all in caps and lots of exclamation points...I think that you got your referral. And then I get a smidge sad when I realize that's not the case. The saddest thing about it is that my heart skips a little beat each and every of the 42 times a day that I check your page. I am a nerd and apparently can't read.
